The Iphidamas cattleheart (Parides iphidamas) enchants with its velvety black wings marked by bright red and white patches, native to tropical areas from Mexico to South America. This butterfly is part of the swallowtail family and has evolved to feed on toxic Aristolochia plants, storing the toxins to deter predators throughout its life.
